Lauren Taylor, MBA

High energy, mission-driven and results-oriented, Lauren has a strong general management background with a history of rapidly understanding the issues and potential of a situation. She is able to successfully develop and implement plans to significantly improve alignment and impact and increase revenue. Her proven leadership, team-building and analytical skills create outstanding value for your organization.

Lauren is a Darden MBA (1997) who brings over 20 years senior executive experience in various C-suite roles. She has owned and operated a multi-million dollar manufacturing firm, turned around a candy factory and a franchise corporation, and was a founding partner of a water and wastewater technologies company.

In each of these companies she has specialized in exceptional financial management combined with designing and implementing the human systems that it takes to build winning teams. She's made a science out of studying processes, and the kind of results she produces include significantly reducing cost of labor while doubling production, increasing individual productivity, improving values alignment and morale, reducing customer complaints, and more.

Lauren is also an entrepreneur and has founded multiple ventures including a global anti-slavery nonprofit, now operated by the Smithsonian-affiliate National Underground Railroad Freedom Center; a national network of college-student abolitionist organizations; a hurricane relief nonprofit; and a civic-tech platform.

Coaching comes naturally to Lauren. She began her coaching career over 30 years ago on the soccer field in southern California. Having played on — and coached — championship teams, she knows what it takes to win. When she's not coaching youth soccer she volunteers with Takis Shelter and the Urban Forest Alliance.
